What sort of message does that send?

I looked through the yearbook some more. The 5 small pictures of the Honors Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Orchestra, and Full Orchestra? All mislabeled. How hard would it have been to figure out the difference between the groups and at least get that right? Of course the pictures are so small, it doesn't really matter anyway!
On the upside, there is a double page spread on tattoos. Because that's important.

It's a conspiracy. The sports money buys up all the school resources, incl. the yearbook. Disgusting. Write a letter. Seriously.
I think I will write a letter. I also think the chair of the Fine Arts Department needs to complain very loudly.

Really - not even a picture of the choir - that is ridiculous. You better write that letter!!!

Yearbook coverage should be proportionate to the number of students in the organization.
It must be a Texas thing. I was pleasantly suprised to see my boys' book had pretty good equal coverage across the board.
I was irritated by the two page spread on tattoos... Hello this is High School! And, the pictures of the band and the orchestra is in the very back where the index pages are! How insulting is that!
I was yearbook editor (in Utah)and took out pages of individual mug shots of the football players and just put in group shots - this freed up 6 pages. I added the international & science clubs (not previously even included) current events, poll of prices of every day items and other things that seemed more relevant to the entire studentbody. For this I was ostracized (they actually passed around a sign up sheet to have me 'fired'), my locker had to be cleaned off every morning it would be covered in very nasty sharpie notes (impressive for Utah 30'ish years ago - the potty mouths) and I learned who my friends really were. It was a very lonely and difficult year, just for trying to make a good yearbook that represented everybody and was something you could look back on in 10, 20 or 30 years and enjoy.
I write this because it goes to show that things have not changed in ... almost 30 years, it is not just Texas and it TOTALLY depends on the staff and the advisors on how good a book you are going to get. Shame on them.
Ryan didn't get one, but his girlfried brought hers over today and it is awful - the layouts suck, mainly photos of cheerleaders, and yeah - that tatoo spread - what were they thinking? I would get my money back if I were you.
