What Jeffrey Got at School Today

Jeffrey walked in from school holding some paper.  I asked what it was.  He said it was a four page Fine Arts insert for the yearbook.

That's right.  A four page Fine Arts insert for the yearbook.

I do believe our petition at the Fine Arts Showcase had an effect.  I have a feeling the principal may have stepped in, because the faculty advisor I exchanged e-mails with really did not think there was a problem with this year's yearbook.

It's a nice gesture, but really, too little, too late.

I don't think we will have this problem in next year's yearbook.

Yearbook Update

I have e-mailed the 2 faculty yearbook advisors.  I have yet to hear back from them.  I will let you know when, or if, I do.

Oh, I did find 3 more small pictures of individual band students, taken during Marching Band season.  They are on a page called "Travis Football Spirit".  How nice.

My boys brought home their yearbooks today.  Tell me if you think this is fair:

Sports - 40 pages

Band and Orchestra - 2/3 of a page TOTAL

Choir - No picture

What sort of message does that send?

I looked through the yearbook some more.  The 5 small pictures of the Honors Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Orchestra, and Full Orchestra?  All mislabeled.  How hard would it have been to figure out the difference between the groups and at least get that right?  Of course the pictures are so small, it doesn't really matter anyway!

On the upside, there is a double page spread on tattoos. Because that's important.
