A Question

Brian started working at a temporary (3 to 4 week) job today.  He's working for a major potato and corn chip distributor.  I'm glad he found a job, since he needs to earn some money.  Here's my question.

Do you think he'll ever get to bring home free chips?

I should hope so. There's got to be some kind of perk and what could be better than free chips!

Excellent question! Here's mine...Will you share if he does?

I think he will bring home lots of 'chiplets' - the defects. Should be a perk of the job, those that don't pass inspection...

My brother-in-law works at a potato processing plant in ID that makes frozen potato products for Wal-Mart. Last time I talked to my sister she said they were trying to get through some 300lb of frozen potatoes that didn't meet Wal-Mart's qualifications. If Brian brings home that many chips at least you won't have to find freezer space, just clear out your master bedroom.

I actually wondered that when you told me where he was working. If he brings some home, remember me! I'll gladly take some off your hands.

Yes, free chips are bound to come your way. If you get your hands on any Ruffles, then you're really in luck, b/c Ruffles rock.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Free chips. Halleluyer!

I would've been much better off if I had NOT read this post yesterday. Because today when you guys walked into the session, as soon as I saw Brian, I instantly thought of endless amounts of chips. And that wasn't cool, because we were in the 1:00 session, and I hadn't eaten yet. No problem until Chip Boy appeared and sat right in front of me. Result: 2 hours of a rumbling stomach.

Sorry about that, Ben!

Unfortunately, because of equipment problems, Brian hasn't been able to work since Monday. And on Monday all he saw were small bags of chips in the lunchroom. So I don't think my wish for free chips is going to come true. Bummer.

Small bags of chips are still small miracles. Especially mini-bags of Ruffles. MMM...They are the perfect vehicle for shrimp dip, sour cream and onion dip, dill dip, and one of my favorites...baked beans. And yes, I do I hope I have made everyone hungry.

if he works for frito/lay he probably will. a friend of ours in TX works there and he brings home the nearly expired chips all the time. or maybe they are expired. which no biggie, they are a tad stale but still work!
