Swine Flu

I'm not really concerned about the Swine Flu, but I think it's interesting that in 2007 the Church added information about pandemics to it's Provident Living website.  Here is the link, if you are interested.

I had read this information a month or so ago, and I did go out then and buy extra bleach.  Today I went and bought more latex gloves and some surgical masks (which I had to go to 2 stores to find).

Hopefully I won't need to use any of this stuff any time soon.  I will gladly put it away as part of our emergency supplies.

The Church posted this information in 2007.  I've found they usually know what they are talking about.

Gosh. I don't even have a thermometer, let alone anything else one might need to keep a pandemic at bay.

I have, however, been taking my vitamins!

Not to cause panic, but a friend of Em's is very sick and did test positive for influenza A and apparently they are freaking out at Travis cuz they are testing her for Swine cuz she has all the symptoms, but duh... they tend to be the same.. I mean they have to since there is the concern out there. That is why we got a phone call from the Travis high principal last night saying "there are rumors of a student that 'may' have swine flu but there are no 'confirmed' cases. Em did talk to her and bless her heart, she asked Em to pray for her cuz she wished this on no one and it was really bad. I want to bleach the house just to keep the normal flu at bay!!! Ikes!! And I pray it's not any worse. I need a Xanax, too, Liz.. it's all my kids talk about now... just knock my butt out! When Em told me there was no school this morning I flipped and thought "oh crap, that poor thing did have swine flu!" I did not even consider the stupid weather!

I wasn't home last night, and of course, no one told me about the phone call. That's kind of scary. I sure hope it's not Swine flu. We don't need to deal with that.

I was just watching on the news this morning and there are confirmed reports in Dallas. I was not surprised but intrigued when the church put the "Pandemic Preparation" link on their website. I should stock up on bleach, vinegar and masks.

I'm glad you commented and that you remember me. I have checked out your blog through one of the Grover girl's blogs before. I wasn't sure if you would remember me or appreciate me "stalking" you so I never commented or anything. Now I feel safe adding you to my blog list and checking out your cute blog more often.

Seriously...not concerned. Or should I say, "I can't concern myself!"
