Coupon Complaint

Why are coupons so much of a pain sometimes?  I hate coupons that expire on the 5th, or 17th, or 23rd.  Why can't companies make it easier for me to organize my coupons and have them all expire on the last day of the month? WHY, WHY, WHY???

My rant is now over.  Unless I get started on how much I hate 55¢ coupons, which Kroger does not double....

I cannot even cope with coupons. Even if I have them (rarely)I forget and never use them. You are right on the exp. dates.

I HATE COUPONS!
And you know how I love thrift! You know it's bad when you sort through them, and are hoping they are expired so you can throw them away and be done with them!

BY this post I know that you are a couponer. I am trying to start. I am overwhelmed COMPLETELY. Will you help me?

I'm not sure if they have it in TX but here they have a thing called coupon sense. They tell you which coupon to use at which store and when things are on sale. I have gotten things for free many times and they keep it all organized for me. I love when my bill is $100 then after all the coupons it comes to $20. Yes, it's crazy. I feel like I am robbing the joint.

Using coupons comes in phases for me... It's a love/hate thing. I'll get all gung ho and clip away, then forget I have them and then the darn things are expired when I remember and look at them, ugh! I hear about amazing deals people get like Annalee said and I think "wow, I should do that" but then I get overwhelmed thinking about what it might take to do it. I am a de-clutterer, so like Liz, I love it when I see the expired date and I can trash a coupon I have been carrying around. I'm a confused soul, I know.

I hate coupons that are for, say, a dollar off when you buy two (or three or more). HATE THOSE. I am a single person. Why would I buy two of everything when it takes me forever to go through one?

Alisha, I am not as good a couponer as I could be. I cut them out of the Sunday paper and sometimes look at sites like coupons.com, but there are other times I forget to use them all together! Like Shelley, my coupon use goes in phases! And I am very brand particular. I think really good couponers will use whatever brand they have a coupon for. I am too picky. So I never really save more than $5.00 to $10.00 during a trip.

I wish we had that coupon sense that Analee was talking about. That sounds helpful.
