"My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize."
Really. He really said that. I saw the video.
On the one hand, I find this one of the funniest things I've seen on TV in a long time.
On the other hand, I find this one of the saddest things I've seen on TV in a long time.
I liked Admiral Willard's response:
"We don't anticipate that."
What they really need to do is just make sure that the military is spread out all over the island. No big clumps on one side or the other. Then there really won't be a problem.

Ha ha ha ha. Funny, but SO NOT FUNNY, too!
Well, islands have been known to just tip over and fall into the sea. There is historical precedent. Like Atlantis or the other lost continents.
"No big clumps on one side or the other." You are hilarious.
No, no, no. Atlantis is a flying space city in the Pegasus Galaxy. Some people...
I think if we get too many people on the North American continent, it might tip over and capsize. I mean, continents are just really big islands, right? WATCH OUT, CALIFORNIA!
Are islands floating? Are they not, you know, anchored to the ocean floor?
Yes, they are anchored to the ocean floor. This makes it highly unlikey to tip over even if, as one guy wrote, "there are lots and lots of people on it". That's what makes the whole thing so sad.
i'm sorry, but do you really think he was being serious?
