Today at Church we sang no Christmas songs. None. That's not right. I firmly believe that once December begins, every song we sing at Church (except the Sacrament song) should be a Christmas song.
We had better sing Christmas songs next week, or I'm going to be very angry!
Thank you! At least one a week, for cryin' out loud. If there's not one on the program next week, we might have to get a group to spontaneously break into a chorus of "Far, Far Away on Judea's Plains" or something. A not-so-silent protest. Who's with me?
Blast...the one time I miss opening exercises (I was subbing in Primary second hour). But then, if I weren't in Primary, I would've missed Luke's bloody nose, Reagan's snot bubble (her term not mine), and a cockroach. All in about 20 minutes.
We had this problem last year. Does Sister Powell still pick the music? Someone needs to call her. Last year when this happened, she didn't even think about it... same with Independence Day.
I don't think she does the music anymore. I think Rashida does. But Sister P. might have picked it through the end of the year. Independence Day annoyed me too. I think we all need to have a talk with Rashida and make sure next week is different!
Ben, Primary sounds like it was very .... interesting.
In my opinion (as a former picker of Sunday hymns), the Sunday before Thanksgiving should be Thanksgiving hymns, and the Sunday after should being the Christmas music. Otherwise, you won't fit them all in!
We sang Christmas (my gosh, it took me 5 tries to spell that) hymns today, but it was Stake Conference. We'll see next week...
I'm in shock! That is so not acceptable!! We were visiting my parents ward for Thanksgiving weekend and they were already singing Christmas songs. I too am a former music selector and would have done Christmas all the time if I could have. I hope you have all Christmas hymns next week!

I'm with you! At least you guys sang a Christmas song in Priesthood. We didn't Christmas songs in Relief Society either! It's just not right!

I totally agree! Brent and I are in on the protest!! We will bust out in a christmas hymn if there is not one on the program this week.
